A career built on making things work

From university IT to regulated production environments, I've led engineering and operations where the stakes were real and the systems had to be right.

What I bring to the table

A rare combination of hands-on technical depth, executive leadership experience, and the communication skills to bridge both worlds.

Enterprise Systems

Banner/Ellucian ERP, Blackboard LMS, research administration platforms (InfoEd IRB). Experience managing and integrating complex institutional software across business and academic units.

Cloud & Infrastructure

AWS (VPC, EC2, RDS, S3), server administration across Windows Server, Linux, SQL Server, IIS. Disaster recovery planning and emergency operations leadership.

Team Leadership

Built and led an 11-person cross-functional team. Managed developers, QA, IT, and product management. Known for mentoring, protecting the team, and keeping long-term scalability in view.

Compliance & Governance

Led SOC2 and HIPAA compliance initiatives. Deep familiarity with FERPA, ADA, research ethics protocols, and regulated production environments.

Software Development

Full-stack .NET (C#, ASP.NET, Razor, VB.NET), SQL, JavaScript, PHP, PowerShell. Integration work across APIs including Google, Twilio, SendGrid, and ChatGPT. Built systems from scratch at scale.

Business Analysis

Translating complex business requirements into technical solutions. Experience partnering with stakeholders across academic affairs, operations, compliance, and C-suite to deliver systems that actually solve problems.

Beyond the office

Leadership, creativity, and community have always been part of who I am — not just what I do professionally.

Creative Production · 2008–2015

Co-Producer, The Haunted House at Little Theater on the Farm

Managed a 20+ person all-volunteer team through the annual construction of one of the region's largest not-for-profit haunted attractions. Applied Disney-style design methodology to theme development each year. Handled all marketing: press releases, sponsorships, media outreach, and poster design. A full creative and operational production from the ground up.

Community · Ongoing

Arts, Faith & Community Leadership

Board member of the Hudson River Shakespeare Company (2009–2017), where I continue as an active member. Church elder at Community Chapel of West Glens Falls (2012–2017). These roles have shaped how I lead — with patience, listening, and a genuine investment in the people around me.
